Launch of the SOLAS® Spine Registry
A primary goal of the Society of Lateral Access Surgery is the generation of preclinical and clinical data pertaining to lateral approach spine surgery and the sharing of that data within the surgical community by way of podium presentation and peer-reviewed publication.
XLIF Book
SOLAS Wrote the Book on Lateral Access Spine Surgery!
eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion (XLIF®) [J. Allan Goodrich & Ildemaro J. Volcan, editors. Quality Medical Publishing, Inc., St. Louis, MO, 2008] is a compilation of contributions from 43 authors on 22 chapters, including "Fundamentals" such as relevant applied anatomy, biomechanics, and the principles of direct and indirect decompression.
